If cycling pre-seasons were a gymnastic event then the team ride shoot would be considered one of the 'compulsory elements'. Usually around Valencia in February you don't have to worry about the weather. It's almost always always around 20ºC and blue skies. This day with Bigla-Katusha wasn't one of those days.
Looking at the forecast there was only a small window in the day where it looked like the torrential rain might ease. Not wanting to keep the riders out in the cold for too long I found a climb nearby that was really off the beaten track so we could get the shots in the shortest time possible. From start to finish shooting the whole team took just an hour to get all the assets the team needed. Special thanks to Laura from Peloton Brief for driving the car and not completely burning out the clutch on the steepest parts of the climb, whilst I took shots from the boot.
